Information On Nutrition

Here are a couple of very useful books, the first an explanation of the problems with commerical foods. The second practical advice on home-feeding. Both highly recommended.

Ann Martin's book, Food Pets Die For, is a shocking book but one you must read if you have any doubts whatsoever about the quality of commercial pet foods. The impetus to write this book came from the "poisoning" of her two dogs with commercial foods and started Ann on a search that revealed unexpected "secrets".

Becoming The Chef Your Dog Thinks You Are is a refreshing book from a person that "walks the talk". Micki Voisard cured herself of cancer with nutrition and turned her knowledge on helping her own animals. From her experience has emerged a wealth of practical knowledge.

Eat, Drink and Wag Your Tail is a charming DVD presenting dog chef Micki Voisard (see her book just above) talking about her experiences and the preparation of fresh foods for pets. Includes extensive interviews with Dr. Pitcairn. Very entertaining.
